2021 ASBK Wrap-up

Well, the 2021 ASBK – Australian Superbikes came to a close last weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park… It wasn’t exactly what I had pictured for my last race weekend before heading to Europe, but it was great to finally go racing again.

It was a DNF in race one due a mechanical issue which caused the bike to essentially go into a safety mode, making it impossible for me to continue. However, the DesmoSport Ducati team and I managed to bounce back to finish in fifth place in the final race of the year, which handed us 12th place for the round and fifth in the overall championship standings with 103-points on the board.

This year I’ve learnt so much and so I’m excited to take the next step in my career next year with the Barni Racing Team in the WorldSBK.

But before I go, I really want to thank some people. Obviously Mum and Dad, they’re always behind me and I couldn’t do what I’m doing without them and I really appreciate it. Bryan Hands and Byron Draper, these guys have basically been there for every step of my career with advice, support and hard work. They make me more motivated every time I ride the #Ducati #PanigaleV4R.

And Ben Henry. He puts in so much time and effort behind the scenes that no one ever see’s and I’m sure he sometimes thinks no one notices, but we all do Benny. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me 🤝

I have to also congratulate Broc Pearson’s Race Page for taking the #Supersport Championship. Broc and I train together a lot, so I’m really happy for him. Also, it was great to have Jack Miller alongside us last weekend, as it really lifted the event to a whole new level. I was lucky enough to have picked up a few things from him along the way which was great.

In closing, I have to say a massive thanks to my personal sponsors and team sponsors. Without them, we could not have done it, so thank you very much for the support.
And last, but not least, thanks to everyone who supports me. The support definitely gives me a boost, so I really appreciate it!!
Bring on 2022 ✊
